Lumberton - A day after meeting with Robeson County health officials, animal rights advocates announced Friday that they are dropping their lawsuit against the county animal shelter.
County officials conceded after a three-hour public hearing Thursday that changes needed to be made at the shelter, which has become a high-profile target of animal advocates in recent years.
